Feeling somewhat peckish I sidled into the kitchen looking for a snack. I commend to you...
A slice a Gala pie with a good dollop of Redcurrant jam
There must be a whole host of undiscovered combinations; I thought I might try some cold lamb and apricot jam later ;D
-
S'like meatballs and lingonberry jam. Yummmster
-
Jams are just like chutneys really. We get fruity ones at the farmers market.

Is that what they do in Ikea?

Yes. redface: And in the Wench household since I filled the freezer up on my last trip. redface:
-
Meat and preserved fruit is nothing new.
Pork and Apple
Duck and Orange
Turkey/Chicken and Cranberry
Ham and Pineapple
The list is endless. Much stranger to my mind was a guy I used to go sea fishing with. He always took along huge doorsteps of bread, spread with strawberry jam and made into sandwiches with chunks of cheddar cheese.
6 miles off the Needles in an 18 foot boat against an incoming tide one look at him munching these guaranteed several of the party would supply "groundbait"

Please, not the "I" word.

I love Ikea. lol: Last time I went things went a bit wrong though. I only spent ?4.37 eeek:

Bet that was on candles. Take out the decimal and that is what Mrs S spent on her visit two weeks ago.
-
I have only been twice, to the big one at Crodon, where power station used to be.
Only good thing is that I get to ride on the tram.
-
That's the one I've used... only on a weekday... and get in and out first before the hordes. I think the last thing I bought there was a couple of those rubber ice cube thingies confused:
-
Mrs Tel and her sister often meet there for a coffee (and shop). I will sometimes look through catalogues, but that's as far as it goes. Why do people end up buying furniture or bloody great plants that then don't fit in their cars?
-
I go to the one in Croydon too.
I bought NO candles, I purchased, magazine files, wine glasses, a whisk and some material.
-
I hate Croydon. And IKEA. The combination is alarming. I have been to it surrender: surrender: scared2: scared2:

Yes - it's great fun and they insist on packing you bags for you! Get all your Chinese sauces and stuff here for next to nothing. Also, prawns. Unbelieveable choice of prawns. And pig's uterus (I'm not joking) should you wish.
Now, I have shoot of to Swindon for a meeting so y'all have fun ya hear
-
The prawns are good are they? I do have rather a prawn craving.

Pig's uterus? sick2:

We have a secret Boys area. OK.
We have a shrimp shop in the Village. How do you stand on shrimps, then?
-
Mrs Tel + Ikea + WingYip + Croydon Shops (or any shops for that matter) = suffering bank balance (Even worse if Mrs Tel teams up with her mates)
-
I don't think I've ever eaten a shrimp. What is the difference between a shrimp and a prawn?
Secret Boys area my arse!
-
She doesn't know about the secret Boys' area!! point:

At least, not since you let the cat out of the bag!

The prawns are good are they? I do have rather a prawn craving.
They have freezers full of prawns - prbably about 100 different varieties ranging in price from about a tenner for a box (2kgs I think) up to about ?25. And pig's trotters too. And an aquarium with live fish in it - choose the one you want! And all manner of Chinese cooking utensils/bowls etc.
On the way back from Swindon the overhead sign on the M3 advised "50mph. Debris in road". Well, it certainly was debris but not quite what I was expecting...I need a pint or two of Young's...
-
Fleshy debris?
-

An Alsation. I think. sick2:
(Not sure if Wing Yip sells Alsation)
-
Oh dear that's quite sad. sad24:
-
You can probably get Alsatian at the Korean shop in New Malden.
-
Forgot ask, how's the Youngs?
I shall partake of some myself later on.

And I WILL be contacting the Berkshire Cuntstabulary to trace the owner of the pile of minced Alsation, as I would like them to trace the owner(s) to pay the 12 quid for a full wash 'n wax...

Youngs and Cheese & Onion?

No! Dear Barman, No!
Young's and chilli Biltong with mayo.
Despite the excellent lunch I was treated to in Swindon.
184 miles of travelling for a meeting about the job in hand that lasted an hour, plus a further half hour talking about England's woeful WRC performance, the Maddie case and the quality of flange in the office does leave one rather peckish.

Chilli Bilton with mayo, I should have known... noooo:
How is the flange? whistle:

And that's the other thing with this BlackBerry - you can't use the quote facility...
However, the flange may - or may not - rival Ms (at the time) Oxenberg's. Possibly (insert whistle smiley)
