And with so many unconditional places being offered everyone gets to go to university Party001:

This was obvious during my miserable time at the "University" of Derby earlier this year noooo: noooo: The whole system is corrupt. The latest scam is Year Zero where they put questionable students (e.g. those with the wrong A levels) into a revision/conversion year to try to get them up to scratch and then a three year degree course. So that is 4 years of £9250 instead of three. Kerching.
Universities are now utterly ruthless in the pursuit of dosh noooo:

It's not just the students that are getting screwed over either, Falmouth has deteriorated dramatically over the years since it became a university town. House prices have gone through the roof down here because the uni keeps raising student numbers each year while putting the bare minimum it can get away with towards accomodation. Not to mention the essential services that are now snowed under because they haven't got the resources deal with the increasing numbers.

They had some bint on from UCAS on the news to provide an explanation as to why unconditional offers have increased by a significant percentage. She gave some rambling reasons but not once mentioned universities trying to secure as much dosh as possible evil:
I really am fed up of living in this world of spin. I wonder what a world of honesty would be like ? rubschin:

Similar to summer, unrealistic.
