Post by: Steve on June 13, 2018, 10:32:30 PM
All nice and ready like
(BM goes facepalm:)
Seems in the wider K family sweepstake Mrs K and I have drawn Belgium and a little team called England rubschin:
For those that want to organise a sweepstake where they work, play or whatever then this is apparently a good tool https://www.sweepstakegenerator.com/free-russia-world-cup-2018-sweepstake (https://www.sweepstakegenerator.com/free-russia-world-cup-2018-sweepstake)

Only one match so far worth watching, that was the Portugal v Spain game.
Coming up shortly is Germany v Mexico. I shall be cheering on Mexico but with little hope for them.

The next England game is on Thursday . That also happens to be my birthday .
I asked the man what we were doing for my birthday and he looked at me incredulous and informed me that the gods of FIFA have already provided me with my present sad32: sad32: sad32:

Crikey! I found that nerve wracking, imagine being one of the players. eeek:
I feel like I've aged a hundred years. Weird game though, once Colombia stopped fouling so often they were the better team but they should have been down to 9 men by half time so it's the right result.
Worryingly we don't have the best of records against Sweden but the form book doesn't get to kick the ball

OK so far
I've noticed that the crowd sounds different when England play. Other matches are played to whistles and cat-calls, England play you hear chants and songs. rubschin:

So remember a long , long time ago I said The Boy had got tickets for the semi finals and finals if England were successful. Done on the basis that this was probably not likely lol:
The last 2 hours have been hotels and flights searching noooo:
All booked and off he goes noooo:

Yes the better team won on the night. Modric was head and shoulders better than Ali, Henderson and Lingard and we didn't have the quality on the bench to make enough impact. But no one should think we were anything but very good, far better than the sum of parts and only just lost to a very good team at its peak
Waist Coat shares will take a hammering tomorrow

Well The man reports from Moscow that disappointed at loss but Croatia were better team no question.
Says there is a great atmosphere in Moscow regardless and that is with all nationalities getting on well together.
Also pointing out things in the City that totally bemused him ( apart from the language) ..like why they have 24hr florists ????

Have you seen their driving? You need to have access to bunches for tying to lamp standards and trees around the clock. Presumably they have 24hr bedraggled teddy bear shops as well. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DzCjjiLuEnE (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DzCjjiLuEnE)

Apologies if this has been mentioned somewhere else, I don't know why this only just cropped up in my news digest but the article beggars belief.
Diego 'Hand of God' Maradona, has stated that the results of the England v Columbia leg of the World Cup was stolen by us and we didn't deserve it.
