Saw the quack for my sick note and he diagnosed "Acute Situational Distress".
I asked him what this meant. He said that it means I am not being labelled as suffering from stress but that the working environment is utterly insane and that the University is to blame.
I like his style.
I am thrilled to be out of that madhouse!!

No! [serious] that job would have killed me had I stayed. [serious]
I have written to a few of the better ones in my team to thank them.

Sometimes it is best to walk away. I did from my last job in a madhouse knowing I'd never work again but I reckon you'll be working soon. Any news from Londinium?
