Have decided that The Boy needs some exposure to some brilliant classic screen acting. Going to get him some DVDs for Christmas.
Any SERIOUS suggestions?

'Deadrie does Pafos'

'101 things to do with Turnips'

OK
Day the Earth Stood Still (finest allegorical retelling of the story of Christ*
The Usual Suspects (Spacey at his best and you'll be able to buy them cheap now)
It's a Wonderful Life (Capra at his most subversive, Stewart at his best and it is a great fillum)
Paddington (set him up to go see fillum of the year Paddington 2 and it's got Kidman in it cloud9:)
Z (bestest foreign language film everer - but IIRC not legally available on DVD)
Godfather 1 and 2 (Pacino, Keaton and de Niro on top form)
Bonnie and Clyde (Beattie and Dunnaway)
Dog Day Afternoon (Pacino brilliance again)
The Devil's Advocate (Pacino brilliance yet again)
The Firm (just to show that Cruise really is a very good actor)
* that analysis c Frasier in Cheers series 6
