Having just read this I'm too incenced for words. Nine, nine bloody years for what these bastards either did to or allowed to be done to this poor bugger? They should never see the light of day ever again!
A couple have been jailed for nine years for abusing a 17-month-old boy who was sliced with a knife and burned with cigarettes.
Sumairia Parveen abused her stepson Tahla Ikram before his death in 2006.
Parveen, 24, and the child's father Abid Ikram, 30, from west London, were convicted of causing or allowing the child's death at an earlier hearing.
Ikram received a further 12 months at Southwark Crown Court for perverting the course of justice.
Weeks of abuse

The court heard how the boy's father stood by and did nothing while the abuse happened.
Ikram had been formally cautioned for child neglect in March 2006 after police found Tahla alone at home.
The boy was placed in foster care but within months he was handed back to Ikram.
Parveen began the affair with Ikram after walking out on her husband but she hated Tahla who she felt threatened their relationship.
While she showered her own daughter with love, Tahla was subjected to weeks of abuse, the court was told.

Sorry Nick. Having a blond day! How is the weather in North Wales?
Sunny but hazy down here on the island.

Well I can't see North Wales from here, so I guess it must be raining (it usually is)

North Wales, sorry meant Wirral.
Got you mixed up with the other one.
The mainland is such a mystery.
Regards anyway.

The reason that Lord Palmerstone, as Prime Minister, had all those forts built and garrisoned so many troops on the "Island" (IoW) was because the Queen (Victoria) expressed concern at the amount of in-breeding there. She felt that the troops would help to widen the gene pool a little. I sometimes wonder if her plan worked. ::)
