Could they possibly make the user experience any worse...? cussing:
You get your brand new, shiny laptop in a beautifully presented carry case/box... cloud9:
And you open it up and it is just bursting with shinyness.... cloud9:
And then you are ordered to charge the fucker for three hours... confused:
And then you finally get to switch it on and it spends hours (literally) downloading and installing updates before you can use it... Banghead
It wasn't unexpected but imagine buying any other product and having the same experience...? "Thanks for the cheque Mr. Customer, here are the keys of your new motor... of course you can't drive it yet as we have to charge the battery... and then we'll have to service it and put in oil and water and stuff... can you come back in two days...?" noooo:

Recently had 6 new laptops - all took 10 hours to download updates/reboot/download updates - on and on and on.Then came Office and AV updates.
My niece left her laptop doing an up date overnite, forgot to plug the mains bit in - laptop switched off and then refused to boot, hard drive trashed with boot problems, could not use recovery tools, had to do a rebuild - all her uni stuff saved though.
