Letter from AA (Automobile Association for the avoidance of doubt  ::) )

Go online to check current offers. I can get better cover from the AA as a new customer for £129 !!  cussing: cussing: cussing: cussing:

Bastards!  cussing:

I ordered my new phone from Amazon and they said I could have a FREE trial of Prime for a month... In fact, because it was delivered in the UK they insisted that I had a free trial for a month... in fact they gave me no option whatsoever but to have a free trial for a month... ::)

So I thought, "how am I gonna be able to wiggle out of this without paying £££££££s?".  eeek:

So I asks the Interwebz and the answer is...

Quote
To end your Amazon Prime membership:
Go to Manage Prime Membership .
Do one of the following: To cancel a paid Amazon Prime membership, click End membership. Note: Paid members who haven't used their benefits are eligible for a full refund.

Easy!  Thumbs:

So, after ordering loadsastuff from Amazon, getting free delivery in the UK and LL to mule it back for me I cancel the account...  Thumbs:

Of course, it wasn't quite the two-click process they would have you believe...  noooo:

After a billionteen 'are you sure?' screens and offers of another free month, blowjob, etc. I finally found the "FFS YES I WANT TO CANCEL" button... facepalm:

Nick, if your AA membership hasn't expired yet then contact their customer support line and tell them that you are considering moving to the RAC when it does expire and that you want to cancel the direct debit/standing order. Most of these companies have a retention team with damn good offers to tempt you to stay with them.  eveilgrin:

I hate all the 'automatic renewal' baloney .....I can't remember what day of the week it is let alone when a 12 month contract is due to end and the notice period I have to give to terminate contract etc.

Also the end dates of ' zero interest ' credit card periods....some companies are good at letting you know that this is nearing the end  ( cue time to look around and transfer  lol: ) otheres however ..BARCLAYCARD !!!  ..hide the details completely  evil:

Now it's time to play tennis, contact the RAC and see if they can beat the offer then give their new offer to the AA.  eveilgrin:

Saving for you, not your estate.  ::)

If you are thinking like that, why not go for one of these much advertised zero deposit personal lease things and have something shiny and new (with free breakdown cover)?

But given a choice being seen with the bag would be less humiliating
