Somebody may feel that they have lost a friend, but it is good to see your tolerance levels are as high as ever whistle:

A day to steer clear of TV and radio if ever there was one.
I suppose Nick had him in his kitchen at some point?

Dunno abot Pavlova, but i'm a fat bastard, and I'VE been in his kitchen. Does that count? rubschin:

"That song" was played at my Mother's funeral service as it was her favourite ~ long before the world cup and before Berek asks if she was a footy fan the answer is NO!
Nessun Dorma does tend to make me remember and it hurts a bit.
-
It makes me remember the World Cup, every world cup as Mr Wench uses it as a ring tone for those weeks. I got home and it was blaring out of the windows. Banghead

Music and scent ~ both evoke memories, some good, some bad. Depends on the association each one has for you I suppose.

Very deep, but true. 8)

Pavarotti's family rang the local undertaker and asked if they would do a funeral for a tenner,
The undertaker told them to feck off and hung up the phone!

Thank you very much but a donation to the Pavarotti charity Fund would have been nicer ....we are a tenner short!

How much?
To you, only a . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . .
Alright, alright! I'm not the only one.

Ironic?
4 months before his death Pavarotti sang at a concert to save rainforests. Now they have had to cut a fecker down just to build a coffin for the fat bugger

It won't take long. The word "Body" helps, I guess.

I am genuinely saddened by Paverotti's death he has a magnificent voice and I am sure we will still be hearing it at our own deaths.
I recall being equally saddened at the death of Mario Lanza but felt happier when Paverotti came along to fill the space. I hold similar hopes for the up-and-coming Paul Potts who has already, as a beginner, stood the hairs up on my neck with his efforts.
I am equally saddened at the demise of Anita Roddick, someone with the ability of becoming successful without abandoning the ideals she started with. She earned my respect. She was my age too!
Why couldn't it have happened to someone that deserved it? like Robert Mugabwe for example. I'd have happily danced on his grave!
What's the matter with me? I got out of hospital again yesterday and after recovering from a general anesthetic (Where's the Fu(king spellchecker gone?) and I feel a sense of my own mortality just now.
As if that isn't enough, My computer died and I have a brand new OS in with absolutely nothing on it - it'll take weeks to get it how I want it noooo: It took four attempts to log in here - I forgot my password confused:
I feel like I have lost three friends... sad24:
