Is it just be or do others get the impression that her parents come accross "false" in their grief for their loss??
On television interviews/pleas for her safe return the mother especially appears to be too composed and her tears seem to be a little false . I hope I'm wrong but the more I hear and see of this tradgedy the more suspicious I become . rubschin:

To be honest, I?ve managed to avoid the news for a few days being busy with other things. From the scant amount I?ve read on the ?tinterweb tho the whole scenario seems a little unlikely. rubschin:

I know that if the same thing happened to my wife and I she ,and me for that matter would be unconsolable let along moan that the local plod were a lazy bunch and not looking hard enough . I seems that she is blaming everyone but her self . The whole issue is begining to stink . IMHO of course

I fear she's no longer alive

I hope the poor kid is found safe and well. I agree about the parents though. Something not quite right there. They probably left little Madeleine behind in the airport bar in their rush to buy duty free hair gel.

Mrs GROWLER saw her arse with me BIG style last night, for daring to suggest what you lot are saying.
Stumped off to bed in a right old grump she did.

Claims I'm just a cynical bad tempered untrusting and generally unpleasant old git.
Who am I to argue?
Yea. That couple are defo lookin' 'not quite true' somehow, and WHY are the local plod just searching the surrounding neighbourhood?
IF some paedo creature has taken the little mite, do they honestly think he'll be hanging around the area waitng to be picked up?
I too think she's probably been murdered by now very very sadly.
Hope I'm wrong.

I still haven't heard a satisfactory reason from the parents why three kids under 10 were left alone in the apartment. Until then I find it very hard to be sympathetic. Feel sorry for the child but what on earth were the parents thinking?!?! Children are not pets or a disposable commodity to be left alone when it suits.

Some of the messages on this board are classed as abuse and harrassment. That is now illegal and I hope sky news is taking down IP addresses and reporting these heartless idiots for harrassing a family who are so desperately in need of support from the general public at this time.
I am still watching and praying. That's all we can do at this point in time. Obviously a lot of people here are not thinking about the poor little girl but trying to get their two cents in and causing drama. Shame to them all.

I rather agree with that poster.
Now don't let this start an argument about the existence or otherwise of God but I really am praying for that child.
-
Obviously I wish no harm to come to her and I hope that she is found safe. (Don't do prayers but I am sending out positive vibes.) However, I do think that the parents need to be questioned at some stage over their apparent lack of parenting skills. Isn't it actually illegal in this country to leave a child that age alone?
That wasn't really the place for a full on diatribe but they are the only news site I could find that had opened the subject up for comment. However, I can't believe that they actually allowed that comment through or to remain. eeek:
-
You can?t help but feel sorry for the child ? whatever happened it is likely to have been a terrifying experience for her?
However, I can?t help but feel that - tragic as a lost child obviously is - this is just another headline-grabbing media frenzy at a time of little other news. I can?t help but wonder how many other children have been raped/abused/died in house fires/been killed in car crashes, etcetera since the young girl went missing.
There must be dozens of grieving parents in the UK alone wondering why the death of their own child does not warrant media attention or messages of support on the Sky web site.
Yet not only does this story get more attention than any other child it also eclipses every other story in the world including the ongoing disasters in Iraq and Afghanistan, genocide in Africa, etc. Blimey, we?re even discussing it?
We?d all like a happy outcome to the story but those that send messages/positive thoughts and prayers should realise that but for the quick-witted actions of a news editor somewhere that spotted the ?story? her fate would have passed us by unnoticed ? as has the death and abuse of thousands of others since the story started and thousands more before it leaves the headlines?
-
At night there is a 'dining out service' free of charge. It is available from 7.30pm to 11.30pm. Parents bring their children to one of various creche areas in their pyjamas during those hours and can leave them there while they eat. Kate and Gerry McCann, Madeleine's parents, chose not to use the service when they went out to eat on Thursday evening.
There was no excuse for them to be left alone.
She was an IVF child. How can you be so desperate for a child and then so happily leave them alond.

Because, I suspect, she was a must have accessory ~ sadly

And Everton FC has released a picture of her in a club shirt.

Admittedly, a middle-aged bloke who lives with his mother may get better odds.

What's all this about bogus web sites with adverts being paid for within, that I've seen headlines about?

The trouble with Brits has always been if we are in a helpless situation, we always crack jokes about it - the rest of the world think we're crazy - we are, but we deal with adversity better than some of our breast-beating neighbours.
I remember being in a Saudia jet over the desert, we hit a massive air pocket and plummeted like a stone for what seemed an eternity. I sat tranfixed, watching the floor rushing up to meet us and was only dimly aware that the entire plane was a madhouse of people screaming and running around.
Then, when all seemed lost we levelled out and started to climb again. A steward brought me a coffee and asked if I was English. I said Yes - close enough! Why was he asking? He said "You were not panicking, you had to be!
I laughed weakly! He said "Fortunately for us, the pilot is English too!"

If I were in the McCann's shoes I would try anything to get my daughter back, so please someone with some persuasive charms or impetus, get that Danie Krugel's details to them, bounty hunters, private detectives, psychics, mediums, even consider kidnapping the two prime suspects and torture them until they talk. Desperate times call for desperate measures and perhaps out of all this may come a world wide intolerence to sick people like this, that must obviously be locked away forever for the safety of all our children. Madeleine parents deny involvement
Madeleine McCann's parents were forced to deny any involvement in their daughter's abduction after accusing questions from the German media.
Kate and Gerry McCann looked appalled when they were asked if they had anything to do with their four-year-old's disappearance.
The couple are in Berlin to try to raise awareness of Madeleine's kidnap 34 days after she was taken from the Algarve town of Praia da Luz.
During a press conference, Sabine Mueller from German Radio asked: "How do you feel about the fact that more and more people seem to be pointing the finger at you, saying the way you behave is not the way people would normally behave when their child is abducted and they seem to imply that you might have something to do with it?"
Looking horrified, Mrs McCann immediately stepped in with an answer, leaning into the microphone as she said: "To be honest, I don't actually think that is the case. I think that is a very small minority of people that are criticising us.

"The caller provided such detail that Kate and Gerry McCann put their European search for their daughter on hold
The couple were informed of the potential development while in Germany, where they were appealing for information about their four-year-old child."
so how come they are in Holland today ?
-
Because:
They revealed they had been asked to draw up a new flight plan involving a possible change from Amsterdam to East Midlands Airport.
It was thought the McCanns might need to go back to the UK to talk to advisers about the call.
But all efforts to re-establish contact with the man failed and the couple decided to go on to Amsterdam.
They left Berlin at 7.30pm, three hours later than planned, for the hour-long flight to Schiphol Airport in Amsterdam to continue their search.
-
Still, as a parent wouldn't you have wanted to stay in Germany, just in case?
-
Since the caller tried to contact them via the Spanish Police when it is the Portugese police who are leading the hunt I doubt that it makes much difference where they are.
Clearly the "credible source" is not sure who to speak to but with close on ?1m in their personal "kitty" made up of donations and a further ?2m on offer from various media sources as reward for info leading to the safe recovery of the child every nutter in the world will be calling some police station or other.
