...you couldn't make it up.... noooo:
Send off my Brexit Postal Voting Request a month ago...
Get a letter in the post today from Windsor & Maidenhead Council and assumed that it was the actual vote form...
...but no, it says I am registered to vote in person.... Banghead
They have helpfully included a form that will allow me to vote by post (the one I sent back a month ago) but it is too late now as they told me the voting forms would be sent out at the end of April. cussing:
Utter, utter wankers! Wankah:

Complain to the Electoral Commission?
I'm waiting for a reply from RBWM but yes, that will happen....

What's the betting they will say they never got your postal voting request and blame the Cyprus mail?
But if Barnet can issue emergency proxy votes on the day last week then surely Windsor can fix this?

Hi Barman,
I have checked our records and can confirm that you have a postal vote in place. Your wife also has a postal vote in place. You are both part of the first despatch of ballot papers around 27th May 2016
The confirmation letters are automatically generated at the point when we accept your registration, at which point you did not have a postal vote in pace. We would usually send the confirmation letters out the next day, but due to deadlines for our printers, these letters have had a low priority and been sent later than we would like. The confirmation letters do not update with any new information, however, we have had to send them as we have numerous people who have registered but not completed absent vote applications.
The system works relatively well when we can run the processes in the correct order, but obviously not so well when all work is prioritised in order to meet deadlines
Please accept my apologies for the confusion
Kind Regards
Gail
