Title: Unsubscibing from emails
Post by: Miss Demeanour on April 15, 2016, 09:35:06 AM

How can you unsubscribe from email when you have  clicked the linky to unsubscribe a gazillion times and yet still on a daily basis get some crap load of nonsense from the same company(s) that you never asked for in the first place.

I know I can put it in my junk foilder but I don't want to receive it at all.

Unsubscribing just lets them know they have spammed a real person... ::)

Just mark it as spam and forget it...  ;)

Get the contact details for the company and if possible the email address for a senior member of management and email them directly telling them that you have already revoked your permission to use your details for marketing purposes but they are still sending you unsolicited emails from them in violation of the rules regarding use of emails and that if they persist in sending them you will report them to the office of the Information Commissioner as well as contacting your solicitor. Also demand to know where they obtained your information from and if it turns out to be a data supply company or an entity you have a business relationship with contact them and revoke your permission for them to use your contact details for marketing purposes.
