Just seen an advert for HMV promoting vinyl n record players.....re-making all the classics albums... rubschin:

It's a world full of otherwise quite normal people who'll tell you how much better they sound
Not once it's bloody scratched it ain't, not trying to play them in the car they don't.
I just can't find space for my vinyl player so I just buy those albums I've got as CDswhich then get into digital files. It works

That nice Mr. Darwin Sir will be promoting wax cylinders next... ::)

I still have all of my vinyl and a turntable which I can link to PC via a pre-amp.

I couldn't bring myself to get rid of my vinyl - I have a cupboard full of it.... But I sold the turntable several years ago and have replaced the lot with digital copies anyway...

When I retired that was one of the tasks I was going to do, bought the scanner etc.
Over 1,000 days later, number of slides and negatives scanned: zero
There are bucket lists and fuckit lists. Guess which one it's on

I've scanned many, many photos and still have hundreds more to do ~ probably never will though. noooo:

All mine are scanned , cataloged , backed up on a separate hard drive angel1 angel1 angel1
As for vinyl the man has loads of LP's that he has never got rid of but had nothing to play it on . So last year his Christmas present was a turntable ...he refuses to do digital evil:

There are some villages (usually the kind of place where the inhabitants all have the same surname and 12 fingers) in the more isolated parts of Cornwall where they view LaserDiscs with suspicion as they are "the new fangled work of the devil"... noooo:
