Title: Picking up food with tongs
Post by: Nick on November 13, 2015, 09:41:42 AM
Why??

Loads of different sorts of bread and croissants at brekky all laid out on trays like. I waited ages while everyone in front of me used the tongs provided  to put stuff ONTO THEIR OWN PLATES. Why??

Because most of us don't want to eat food that's been touched by people that don't wash their hands after and have probably just picked their nose too

And please don't get me on double dippers.  Shoot the fuckers in front of their families.

I always use my fingers...

...However, I choose one pick it up and put it on my plate... I do NOT touch five or six of them first...

Very common here with 'village broad' in supermarkets - they aren't wrapped and customers feel the need to pick up half a dozen and examine them before making their choice...  noooo:

How, exactly,  do tongs help in this?  If they poke around finding "the bit they want" - as they do - then use tongs to pick it up then there are still large swathes of snot covered pieces that will in all likelihood be picked up with tongs later.

There was a fat German wumman who picked up 2 slices of bread with tongs, used another pair of tongs to insert bread in toaster, removed bread from toaster with tongs, put them on her plate with the tongs and then ate them   whacky115 whacky115

At the meal today they served mini breads with dipping sources.  Straight away a few who should know better went double dipping evil:.  As my Uzi had mysteriously been left at home/in my dreams, I took comfort from the posts above that they were eating what the chef had wiped his bogied fingers on

(but I doubt it was true)
