So, the HP Business InkJet 2300 expired after many years... At least seven but it could be as many as ten... Not bad really...
Went to the shops today and got one of these...

It is an Samsung M2825ND Xpress Mono Laser Printer and quite splendid... it was just over €200 with a new toner (they all seem to come with a 'starter' toner now)...
It is incredibly fast and quiet and has a built-in duplexer....

It was a complete revelation at the time (we all had matrix or daisy-wheel printers) but cost thousands and you couldn't lift the fucker! ;D

Laser printer - why?
Inkjets are 1/3 the price and better resolution. BM must be mass printing flyers for the all new Pissouri Pole Dancing bar

I needed a networked printer, not necessarily colour (although the last one was) and ideally with a duplexer....
This fits the bill perfectly and is fast too - it doesn't have all that clanking and whirring you get with ink jet printers either...
And the 'ink' is cheap and it doesn't dry out if you don't use it for weeks....
Oh and the resolution is 4,800 x 600dpi effective...

Simple solution then. BM emails you what he wants printed, you print it. Take a photo of the printout and email it back to him
