Not as good as expected eeek:
Daughter tells me that entire 6th form were opening their letters and getting shock results. Lots of tears and panic as many realised they hadn't made the grade needed for their university choice.
We have asked for a re-mark on daughter's English mark (an E ~ I don't believe it's right) Many others all got an E as well even though the all left the exam happy as to how it went.
However, daughter had logged on to UCAS this morning before opening her results and York University had already offered her a place.
Her first choice was Bath uni but only because they offered a placement year during the course, she liked York campus more so she's happy anyway.
Son has already got an IT apprenticeship lined up and starts on the 8th Sept so he didn't really care what his results were. Nice position to be in.

Daughter's off to study psychology. I must say I was impressed by the Faculty and lecture halls when we visited York (didn't see Bath)
I'm really happy for both of them, they're leaving school to go on to do what they wanted.

A grade that gets them in is quite enough.
