While I can't comment on the business side, personally, and somehow I suspect that I can speak for most of the country here, I don't care if my MP is male, female, white, black, straight, gay, lesbian, animal, vegetable or mineral as long as they can DO THEIR JOB PROPERLY! As far as politics is concerned we don't need quotas to help the average and mediocre we don't WANT mediocre politicians although in some cases that would be an improvement on who has currently been elected.

Is it too much to ask to have electoral candidates who have real life experience instead of the political class we are currently saddled with? We were saddled with one of your 'all women shortlist' MP's back then and she was, to put it politely, absolutely fucking useless and this had nothing to do with her gender.
