A group of UK experts commissioned by the Cyprus government as part of a reform of the island`s civil service has proposed large scale reductions in the number of Municipalities and communities.

The Ministry of Interior said in a press release that it will launch a consultation process with all stake holders and political parties to discuss the proposed reforms that should be implemented by June 2014

We have loads and loads of parish councils

I just love (not) those 'experts' who conclude that everything would be more efficient if everyone was just the same.  Maybe if they were made to be the same as someone else by use of a hacksaw and pliers they'd think twice instead.
