So, shall we start a new game then...?

We need a better definition of sleb this time....

3) The dear departed must get an obituary in one of the recognised National British Daily Papers, on the BBC Web Site or Sky News web site.

Agree that way too many nobodies got in but why would we want exclude famous sporting people (a species unknown to BM) or politicians?  Anyway some of the entertainers were complete nobodies too and seems the BBC will publish what looks like an obit if a Punch and Judy man expires at Butlins.

Suggest (like wot I said before) that the obit has to appear within 24 hours of the death being discovered.

I don't want to name a bonus death again and was v glad mine didn't expire

Broadly agreed.

The bonus death could be an 'opt out' if you feel uncomfortable about it. . . .

My didder never got upgraded to the all singing all dancing dibber8 and now I keep getting the message that it is not compatible. sad24:

Following on from Darwin's suggestion I am going to go phishing with my didder and leave you all to it.  Unless of course BM honours his advertising blurb and rushes to me within 24 hrs my new dibber8 which I can use free for 30 days and then I only have to pay just £100.00 per month for ever and ever and ever. noooo:

Optional Opt out on Jokers...
Miss C to get dibber8 on receipt of her first £100 payment...
No prizes

I have at least four dead beetles, that must trump everything and everybody, if you will pardon the pun.  I therefore declare Mornington Crescent and double six.  Game over all we now need CDB5.  angel1

The way I see it is that we would be aware of a celebrity death before an obituary appeared as it would be announced as news first. It would be newsworthy and would appear in numerous media. A obituary within 24 hours would also imply a certain celebrity status.

Uncle can't have given his permission, it clearly states in rool  27a (IV)  No player at any stage of the game may drink (with or without another players permission) the drink of another player. This rool stands under any and all circumstances. Should this ever happen the game shall be declared null and void.

The only  time that this has ever happened was on 14th October 1956 when young Fred Grimsbottom allowed Cecil Braithwaite a sip of his drink following the famous 'sardine fish bone' incident.

It was never discovered whether this was actually and intentional manoeuvre on the part of Grimsbottom who was loosing to Brathwaite at the time as sardines had never been found in Rastick before, nor come to think of it, after. noooo:
