Yes.
It's why I'll probably never have a dog tbh.

I remember when our bunnies died.
I was absolutely distraught, so christ knows what I'd be like if it'd been my wulfie. sad32:

Can't believe I'm feeling so cut up about it, but think it's because it's making me look back remebering when we got him and associated memories and stuff.
The G jnrs were so excited, and as pets, 'cus that's what they are regardless of size, they've been absolutely trouble free and so relaxing to watch.

I talk to them sometimes when I'm on me own. redface:

It's how you feel and you're far from unusual

You gave it a good life and it gave you fun. Good to look back on but won't be what you feel right now

Hope so, as I'm currently questioning my sanity regarding getting so bloody upset about a 'mere' goldfish.
Is my life really that empty and sad? Shrugs:

If my dad ever done that to a pet of mine I'd have put paraquat in his food.  Takes a week to die and there is nuffin they can do to stop it.

Was very saddened yesterday afternoon.

Mrs Newfoundland wulfy owner came past , and I went out to say hello to him as usual.
Thoroughly GORJ he is. Like a giant all black Panda. cloud9:

She informed me that even though he's only 8, I may not see him again as he's been diagnosed with terminal heart problems, and could keel over anytime soon with heart failure. sad32:
I felt a lump in me throat and extremely sad as he really is such a luvlee beast, and so friendly too....dog slobber and all. Don't care. noooo:

Very sad.

The problem with these specialised dogs is that all the selective in-breeding that brings out the wanted features, tends to leave other genetic defects, which means they don't last as long as they should.  noooo:

Not fair, especially as the two vile and nasty ankle snapping constantly yapping little shits over the road will probably live to be 100.
Pair of them need a friggin' bullet inbetween their vicious little eyes imo. cussing:

As a general rule small dogs live longer than big dogs.  Not too many big dogs get into double figures.

But so what?  Surely what matters is did they have a happy life and did their owners get love and enjoyment from it.  Death of a loved pet is a gut wrenching tearful experience but it makes you a more complete person and you have to remember the good time the pet and you got.

Not surprised, even at this distance I found it a very sad story

But to find yourself having a cry in private once in a while is not such a bad thing, it's those that do it for effect that piss me off.

Ever thought of dog fostering?

I didn't cry, but I did feel incredibly sad though, especially as he looked so happy and rummagy...as ever.
