This evening I'm a proud owld Dad Bear, as young G Jnr has been selected to take one of the zoo themed bus's to a location tomorrow afternoon for a promotional photo shoot. Local rag or some sort of transport mag., I don't know.
He was initially asked last week, but was somewhat puzzled by it all, so he asked "why me" today?
The boss (that called him in for a disiplinary last week over the scratch on the bus) told him that the regional operations manager has been watching him over the last few weeks that he's been there, and is impressed with his attitude, willingness, cleanliness and smart appearance, and always smiles and waves at him when he sees him wandering around Chester, and that is why he was chosen. cloud9:
Should never 'willy wave' about your nippers imo, but I really am so proud of the way he conducts himself in such a concientous manner.
I'd be the first one to lambast him publicly if he was the opposite btw.

Tar^^^. I'm not gloating btw, just so nice seeing your kids being rightly praised with all the general shit that goes on in our lives. Like a breath of clear mountain air it is. cloud9:
Apparently, some of the other drivers are pretty obnoxious he was told today.
One of them recently told a customer to "piss off" when she asked politely could he lower the ramp for her to board! Shocked:
She complained suprisingly enough. whistle:
He was given a final written warning, and bang to rights too.
Lucky he wasn't sacked imo.

Thinking about re-newing my PCV licence tbh, as the company he used to work for are always looking for p.t. drivers.
Fancy doing a bit of weekend werk during the winter months when life is even more boring than usual. rubschin:

What's the difference between a bus driver and a Muslim?
A bus driver does not try to justify hating everybody through religion.....
(Growler jnr excluded)......
