Title: Okra.

Okra is a vegetable, quite often confused with orca, a killer whale which while fit for human consumption is difficult to get in the oven, is I think one of the vegetables which fall into the love/hate category.

I love it as does Mr C. So following a trip the the horspickle earlier this week we stopped off at one of the many local ethnic food shops to collect some.  Mr C found a wonderful Anglo-Indian recipe. It involves dry frying it once chopped which gets rid of any slime and combining it with fried onion and ground black pepper.  The recipe didn't include garlic but he added some.  For me it was food heaven. cloud9:

It's a bugger to cook right, can end up a bit stringy.  Frying works best

We get it from time to time in the random box of stuff we get delivered Tuesdays.
