What do VPers do during sleepless nights. I have quite a few dsleepless nights and am never quite sure what to do. I feel that I should get up and catch up down stairs but the thought of cleaning in the small hours holds no thrills neither does filing which would probably end in chaos in my filing cabinet.
So I spend time on here just messing or catching up on emails, watch the box, (thrilling repeats of Time Team) and do a fair bit of tossing and turning
What do you lot do on such nights?
-
I toss and turn mostly.... noooo:
-
Usually nod off like.
-
Lie there thinking should I get up, eventually nod off
Lie there thinking should I get up, eventually nod off
Lie there thinking should I get up, eventually nod off
Lie there thinking should I get up, eventually nod off
Wake up thinking bloody hell I was tossing and turning all night noooo:

I know that feeling, one of my classics is to toss and turn, watch the box, mess on here, toss and turn fall asleep at about 5am, curse the clock when it hits 7am. cussing:

There is a surprising amount of tossing going on in the background then...? rubschin:

And even worse when you have a mess like Miss C
Don't worry Miss C, I'm already on me way there redface:

Huh that's the last time that I toss with you Mr JOM. I will lay perfectly still and think, like wot Miss D says.

I can sleep through anything but the overnight NZ v Eng cricket last night certainly helped. All night silent BBC news with substytitles so as not to wake SWMBO and CWMBO works well too.
[serious mode] can't sleep, write down on piece of paper what you're thinking about [/serious mode]

Apey fell asleep in the minema when the walls were shaking cos the volume was so high..... noooo:
-
Wasn't that the neighbours (from the next town) banging on the walls wanting it turned down?

I think it was after that mix up with Berek and the spittoon.
Your order for the barrel of finest turnip juice hasn't arrive yet either. Remember the price goes up at the end of the month.

Well, here I am again. We decided to kick sky into touch. There is only so much Cracker one can watch in the wee small hours. noooo:
Mr C is snoring for England I don't want to put my light on for fear of disturbing him. angel1
As a result I decided to wander in here. My god you lot are messy and Baldy seems to be sound asleep and snoring loudly under Darwin's well worn and slightly stained leather armchair over there in the corner.
I will switch the urn on and tidy up a bit whilst I am waiting for it to warm up. Whoever chucked what appears to be a vat and a half of red wine over Darwin's latest copy of 'Turnip weekly' is going to be in for it. The ash trays are overflowing and what's the betting that it was Apey who poured the dregs of a pint into the one on the round table. It stinks and the fag ends have disintegrated. evil:
I was thinking of bringing my mother in here for her usual schooner of Sherry but if the place is a mess she won't like it one bit. Perhaps I could send her to visit Miss D, she could knock some common sense into her bloke, sort out ' the brat' and make tea for the builders like. rubschin:
Talking of tea the urn is ready and rearing to go..... eatdrink013 Ahhhhhhhh wonderful.
-
You've made a lovely job of this place Miss C! Thumbs:
Where is my snuff...?
-
Ahh your snuff redface: I had a bit of spare time and whilst I was in the kitchen, well, umm, you know that we have a rat infestation, well, I manage to catch a couple of the slower ones and shoved the last bits of your snuff up their noses. Oh how I larffed as I watched them starting to sneeze. redface:

My Turnip Weekly! cussing: sad32:
Miss C, you should try a nice malty drink before bed like I do, no problem dozing off for me. Thumbs:

Given some of the eccentricities in here I wouldn't have been surprised to find you had been making Ovaltine with Laphroaig instead of milk. lol:
