2. WTF is it as a comment? Some kind if 'get out clause' in case of rebuttal?

An American import no doubt, I'm now seeing it on comments on UK sites, News sites, the lot noooo:

One of my pet hates is when people, mainly young people but it is spreading, begin a sentence with the word 'like'. Like just stop it. cussing: cussing:
