Comedian Steve Coogan has been cleared of speeding after it emerged a friend was driving his Range Rover when it was caught doing 39mph in a 30mph zone. (http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-england-sussex-18863644)

The 46-year-old comic told Brighton Magistrates' Court it had "slipped my mind" that his friend was driving.

oddly enough a six point penalty for Mr Coogan would have triggered a driving ban.

I believe him.
