My Mum used to call such things "Ducks Disease" which just about covered any unidentified ailment.
Minimus suffers from allergy problems and it is often difficult to tell the difference between hay-fever and a cold. Sometimes he has both at the same time. We work on the principle of treating him for both. Paracetamol for colds and antihistamines for hay-fever...... Seems to ease his suffering most times.
