Currently waiting/listening to shite musac before asking for a pac code to get away from these nuggets.
2 years of upgrades apparently, to enable us all to enjoy the fastest service ever....that's if they actually have any cussies left. Banghead

Finally got through to them after 45 mins.
PAC code received in readiness for a call to one of the other providers tomorrow morning if this nonsense isn't sorted.
The engineers are totally mystified apparently as this is national, not regional, and NOT affecting every 'phone either apparently. confused:
As stated before, ANNA LOG rules, and NEVER caused me ANY prob's back in the early 90's on me 'brickphone' cloud9:

It's not the 'phone device, it's the national netwerk.
Still got Paties blower, all charged up too.
Might start using it again for a change tbh. It's a very nice device.
Only stopped using it 'cus the battery (new) standby life was so poor. (2 days if I was lucky) eeek:

The reason I did it was that Miss T is on another network and calling her cost nearly more than phoning the UK ......but had to keep my number coz everyone has it .........quite easy to use (someone showed me redface:) .......well worth it ...................and if you on pay as you go thingy if you run out of credit on one you have the other ........

If this is still ongoing tomozo, I'm gunna have to start dropping in and or ringing all me cussies with me land line number.
Brought the question home quite suddenly and starkly to me today....how the hell did mobile business's like mine actually run before mobbies? eeek:
Never had reason in 17 years to actually consider this before.
-
I am impressed that you want to ring your cussies let alone see them. I have five of them, mine not yours obviously, I know roughly where 2 live the other three I have no idea about. noooo:

In Growler speak Miss C , I think cussies stand for customers not cousins ;)

I set-up an answering service when I started my business in 1990.
They answered with my company name and always said I was in a meeting or unavailable. lol:
I used to be out and about visiting my customers, er cussies and would stop at call boxes, call the answering service, get my messages then call all the cussies back. Simples. Thumbs:
Was a lot easier when I got my fist mobile phone tho... It was one like this: -

I still have mine, complete with case, aerial, charger, destructions and case. By god it made a clunk as it rolled across the passenger foot-well as I went around roundabouts a bit quick lol:

I had one of these bolted in the car in the 70's.
There was an operator that you asked for the number. "Radiophone operator, number please"
When you were talking, you had to press the orange button like a walkie talkie.
Proper analogue, Growler would have loved it.

Not actually blaming o utwats 2 for young Mini Mooselet being verbally abused and then kicked by a gang of feral filth shitty scum bag drunk/drugged ladettes whilst trying to gain access to James St station Scallypool late kast night, but it would have been great if her bastard mobby had been useable. Banghead
She managed to escape the vile bastards, and ran to a public call box to ring us as she was in a state of blind panic, terrified, and didn't quite know what to do.
Needless to say...it was vandalised. Banghead

She takes after you then Growler, still not a nice thing for her to deal with, it might knock her confidence a bit. It did with my daughter.
