Grumps is right. We had a nest......here's the story.....
apc got bitten by something, went nasty (blood poisoning etc) found out at horsepickle that it was a spider. The following day I found said spider in our bed. Beasty thing that it was. This we later discovered was the baby. noooo:

Two days later I heard a lot of effing n blinding from the bathroom, seems apc found mummy spider, (covering the entire top of a full loo roll) scared2:

Following this He discovered DADDY. apparently I don't want to know or I will leave the island but I'm sure I heard him crying in fear one night.

We then found the nest. noooo: webs so thick they were like pillow cases.

regarding your problem, if there are 3 on the ceiling, the rest are making babies and lying in wait.

Sleep well  cloud9:

About 1.30 this morning The Brat screams into my room that there is a hooooge spider in her room and I must get up and kill it otherwise she won't be able to go back to sleep.

Up I trudge and scan her room but spider understandably has been frightened off.

Go back to bed ....settle down and finally go back to sleep. To be woken up again about half an hour later by her yelling at me that she has found it.

Reluctantly get up again , find the little botheration and dispose of it.

Go back to bed, settle down again and finally get back to sleep. Then brother comes home  Banghead
