Cost to fill Land Rover with diesel last week was £89, to fill the Corsa with unleaded was £67  sad24:

Both are full at the moment ...... Woodstock is planning a trip to see her mother next week ~ that'll cost me £75+ in fuel alone.

Just think...

They dig holes in the earth thousands of meters deep...

Then they pump the oil up...

Ship it halfway round the world...

Take it to a refinery...

Use vast amounts of energy to split it into its separate components - including petrol and diesel.

Then ship it hundreds of miles in tankers to your local outlet...

And they can do all of that for what, 50p per litre and make a profit?

And then the government adds £1 of tax to it!  cussing:

I'm loving the interviews on the news at petrol stations.

Expressing their utter disdain and fury at the situation saying something like ....

" it's madness, if people weren't panic buying we wouldn't need to be in this situation. People should just calm down "

...whilst squeezing every last drop from the nozzle  noooo: noooo: noooo:

One quote 'I am only filling up because we have to visit someone in hospital, a long long way away'  .... so far away he obviously couldn't remember the name of the place.  ::)

The whole petrol panic does seem to be encouraging Darwinism though.
