Ahh, but Renault's point is that YOU whilst actually in the act of driving, are not emitting anything! The fact that three times as much CO2 was released creating the power that you 'downloaded' is entirely irrelevant.

I expect it only uses CO2-free, Froggy Nuclear electric, not that nasty dirty gas or coal type electric.
