"Political Correctness is a doctrine fostered by a delusional, illogical minority, and rabidly promoted by an unscrupulous mainstream media, which holds forth the proposition that it is entirely possible to pick up a turd by the clean end."
Sums it up nicely I felt.

Really? It reads more like a bit of meaningless verbal diarrhea to me.
Who are the 'delusional, illogical minority'? and I'd say that the 'mainstream press', rather than rabidly promoting political correctness, use the phrase to put down those who try to fight discrimination and unfair treatment.
the phrase is an empty rightwing smear designed only to elevate its user

And who said this site does not promote debate? whistle:

I do try ;)
It's evident that we're fairly like-minded people on this site which is why we gravitated from 'other places' in the first place.
Doesn't mean that we have to agree on everything though.

I agree

I found it on an American board ~ similar to this one. I wondered who they might have been quoting so Googled for the answer. Found 13,200 "results". I confess I have not looked at all of them but a number of posters on a number of different sites have picked it up and are using it as as signature. It can only be a matter of time before it appears as a signature in "Another Place".

I agree
I disagree with your agreement? if that helps? shrugs:
-
You are entitled to do so, agreed. And my smite was only in the interests of tidiness.
I now have some extra large full stops in stock if anyone is making posters or suchlike for the pub. They are Canadian. A present from Mrs Nick when she found them in a shop.

I knew she'd put a stop to you in the end. point:

It is a jumbo apostrophe. You can use it once for a large possessive that might crop up in your work (whale, elephant, bottom) or chip up to 1500 smaller apostrophes off it.

Do you mean like an elephant's apostrophe?
