Having joined the cadets it seems the Boy is suddenly very keen on Army matters. I will now be seeing him next weekend as he parades at Remembrance services, I am also told he wants to join up and go to Afghanistan  scared2:

They are likely to change their minds about what they want to do a number of times before any such decisions are made .

My lad's in the ATC. He plans to join the RAF.

The RAF was, we always claimed, the most sensible of the services in that we always sent the officers to do the fighting bit.  whistle:
