I could of course send the Z600 to MissD for The Brat to use with a PAYG sim card; merely a philanthropic gesture  angel1

I like your twistedness  lol:

Growler stop pontificating. Send Pastis your address , phone will be delivered in a couple of days. Put Sim card in . Bish Bash Wallop.

You can then recieve texts from Nick again and send him back all your kisses  ;)

I'm NOT pontificating OR dithering. cussing:

I just like to make sure things are right like, unlike soft ginger lad who just blunders his way around accepting everything at face value without any questions whatsoever.

I can't just go out and buy some old random sim card and lob it in, as the one I've got is an o2 contract card with my dedicated 15 year old number on it that I cannot afford to lose, that's all. ::)

But you won't lose it or have anything to lose.

If when you put your sim card in it doesn't work then you simply need to unlock the phone. Shouldn't cost you more than a tenner.

...when I bought it it was on a T-Mobile contract. I had it unlocked and bought a PAYG Virgin card to keep it as a spare when I upgraded to a new Sony Ericsson.

I can see no reason why the O2 card shouldn't work.

No need to get a phone unlocked ~ ask your current service provider for the PAC (Port Authorisation Code) THE LAW SAYS THEY HAVE TO PROVIDE THIS and give that number to whoever you buy the SIM Card from. Takes between 24 and 48 hours and the old number will be transferred to your new phone.

I did give you the link to do all this in my reply #19 in this thread together with the link to take you to the site where you will be able to arrange all the transfers/new sim card and payments at the CHEAPEST RATES in the UK.  Banghead
