Today has been not unlike like that Python Batley women's guild re-enactment of Pearl Harbour (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kcSMaNlcDPs)

The new two cats met the ginger kitten. Things went bonkers with growling, hissing, dabbing with claws and general chasing each other round the rooms.  Peace seems to have returned, maybe cos we locked the littlest back in his cage where he has gone to sleep knackered

I was asked for an update

Two weeks on all 5 of us are still alive  most of the house is still intact (bit catlit whiffy at times  sick2:) but since we let the eldest two have full house access not much sleep is being had

Turns out these are our 7th, 8th and 9th cats.  Which makes Cobnut/Gismo our own Seven of Nine (https://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/en/thumb/0/0a/SevenofNine.jpg/250px-SevenofNine.jpg)   rubschin:  A Borg cat  scared2:    Anyway we're going to try and upgrade him from fostered to adopted this weekend

I was asked for more pics

Peace is breaking out:

Well the scary bit is we left them at 11 and won't get home til 6

I can also say there are nicer sounds to wake up to than Pippi breastfeeding from Bonni at 6am right by your face

And they remain adorable

Today Cobnut/Gismo is officially ours ;D.  We had to promise we'll have him neutered in about 6 weeks time but what he doesn't know about won't worry him for now.

Well today is the day it might worry young Cobnut

Had to starve him (and so the others overnight) and took him in for the Op first thing.  Now waiting for the call to go pick him up.

All 4 of us are missing him already  cry:

He doesn't seem too fussed.  Tucked into his food as soon as we got him home.  In the land of Cobnut food, fusses and finding ways to wind up the other cats are his priorities.   And we're not going to tell him any better

The shrew wouldn't have survived for long after being released, the stress would have finished it off.  noooo:

You could always get one of these for the cats, hours of fun trying to hunt with no messy 'gifts' afterwards.  Thumbs:

As for the shrew yes but at least it got a chance.  It's surprising though how some animals do survive. Often an issue with cat inflicted injuries is internal bleeding or infection.

I was informed when I first did the Brighton gig that the cats will not drink water if they witness you filling the water bowls directly from the tap. They have to be filled from a little watering can (which you fill from the tap).

I tested this the other day. Waited till they were watching and filled their water bowls from the tap. Protests  scared2:

Emptied bowls, filled can and used can to fill bowls.

All well again

Tap water has chemical traces from the treatment process that the cats can taste, even when it has passed through Baldymort's all singing all dancing osmosis pump. Water that's been left for a while, such as a pond or a pool will have picked extras that makes it taste more natural to the discerning feline.
