Title: USB
Post by: Barman on November 27, 2007, 10:44:53 AM
Why do USB plugs never ever, ever, ever, ever, ever, ever, ever, ever, ever, ever, (recurring) fit the socket when you try and push them in?  Banghead

Then you turn them over Ďcos they must be upside down and they still donít fit so you turn them back up the way they were originally then they fit!  cussing:

When I was a young man, the name for people like you was "Cack-handed".

There is no doubt a more modern and offensive term available for people who break keys in locks, round-off heads on bolts and jam zippers.

I got dragged to some 'do' at the Officers Club at Greenham Common when the Yanks were still there and endured some chap droning on about the 'great sound of a tube radio'.

Naturally I worked out what he was on about but confused him by extolling the 'tone of a valved wireless' we had in the kitchen, as if it were a new subject.

He had that same vacant facial expression worn by Bush all the time.  whistle:

I see they have finally listened to my complaint!  cloud9:

Quote
But now Type-C is here to save the day. USB Type-C is a description of the port connection itself. Itís small, compact, and replaces the standard USB Type-A and B connections as well as the myriad of micro and mini USB ports. Basically, itís one USB connection type to rule them all. And best of all, itís reversible, so the days of flipping your USB cable three times before inserting it correctly may finally be numbered. Over the next few years, look for USB Type-C to begin becoming the universal port for all devices including desktop, laptop, and mobile.

It would be rude of me to say, "I told you so" eh Nick...?  whistle:
