No sport for a month
« on: March 13, 2020, 11:57:17 AM »
Is this BM's dream come true?

No UK or European football, Oz Grand Prix called off, tennis suspended for 6 weeks, England's cricket tour called off   :(

At this rate I'll have to talk to Mrs K and she'll be mentioning all those things around the house that need fixing that I never could get round to

no matter how many instances of white swans we may have observed, this does not justify the conclusion that all swans are white.  (Karl Popper)

You know, I used to think it was awful that life was so unfair. Then I thought, wouldn't it be much worse if life were fair, and all the terrible things that happen to us come because we actually deserve them? So, now I take great comfort in the general hostility and unfairness of the universe

Might have been a laugh and he'd have got a 350 refund from the club

It was a bit dull watching TV wise apart from those superb goals

I'm looking on the bright side, sport being shut down for the forseeable future means that combined with the number of fans who have refused to get another season ticket Mike Ashley is probably going to be making a significant loss. Hopefully that means he will be more inclined to sell up and sod off instead of playing his games whenever someone makes an offer for Newcastle.  rubschin:
