A win's a win  eastdrink048

Appalling conditions and England did well to make it to the end and pull through - in spite of a blind ref who wouldn't notice an Irish foul even if he himself was the victim!

Wouldn't have been allowed on the sports field in my time.  Shocked:

I gather twas best watched on BBC texty thingy updates, luckily that's how I watched it

Still who cares how pretty it was, tomorrows papers will show England as the only undefeated nation this year

Cues embarassing defeats to Italy, France and noooooooo  Wales
no matter how many instances of white swans we may have observed, this does not justify the conclusion that all swans are white.  (Karl Popper)

The sort of game, in the sort of conditions, that in my playing days would have led to me saying "Never Again" ~ Never the less I watched the whole thing and found it compelling to watch and the result was all I could have hoped for.

It has certainly upset the local "Anyone but England" brigade.

I don't know if you're watching England vs France, but may I just say that the referee is a total cnut.

That is all.
