You know, I used to think it was awful that life was so unfair. Then I thought, wouldn't it be much worse if life were fair, and all the terrible things that happen to us come because we actually deserve them? So, now I take great comfort in the general hostility and unfairness of the universe

Thank you all  cloud9:
I shall remain Miss D thank you very much ...I cannot cope with too much change all at once  lol:

Had a lovely day although not without stresses !! The man's eldest boy tested positive for the 'Rona' , as did his girlfriend, which meant they couldn't go to the wedding. That would just be one of those things if it also meant that we had to await the outcome of testing to see if The Man had been affected and if so would have had to defer again with less than 48hrs notice to everyone.
 noooo:

Luckily that was not the case but it also meant that we had no photographer as that was what the girlfriend was going to do  as well as driving some elderly relatives  to the event. They then decided not to come because of the inconvenience of having to get there on their own steam  evil:

Anyway , sod em, it happened  and we had a party in our garden which we thought we be a disappointment in terms of what you would normally expect at a wedding but turns out it was actually rather perfect for the occasion.
Off to Dorset today for a few days of not having to organise anybody or anything and most looking forward to it  cloud9:

no matter how many instances of white swans we may have observed, this does not justify the conclusion that all swans are white.  (Karl Popper)
