The cat in the wheelie bin

You've all probably heard about this story and seen the video clip. Dick Puddledock has it here

It seems to me that everyone is missing the big story ~ who in their right mind has CCTV trained on the wheelie bin?

Somebody who is trying to make a point to their local council I would imagine.

Prolly has had a barney with their waste management people about recycling and is trying to get evidence to how that it is other people who put stuff in his bin that should be in the recycling box. There are plenty of such people around and with CCTV availabe for under £50 ...........

From the local rag:

...the kitten’s owners Stephanie and Darryl Mann have CCTV outside their home for security

I note that the camera view is labeled "front left" so I guess that they have others.

Only goes to prove that CCTV doesn't stop crime.

Strangely your "local rag" is not delivered here in North Wales.

In one of our papers (the Sun since you asked) it states that the cctv was put in as someone kept vandalising their car.
I couldn't ask for better friends. I could ask for more NORMAL friends, but not better ones.

Update:

THE woman who was filmed dumping a cat in a wheelie bin in Coventry has been found.

The RSPCA and the police have spoken to her and the RSPCA is considering what action to take next.

A statement from the RSPCA is due later.

The police are understood to be giving the woman protection after her actions caused outrage among animal lovers across the country.

Meanwhile, things are starting to get out of hand I feel. eeek:

Meanwhile, a Facebook group calling for the death of Mrs Bale has been removed by moderators as police said they were "closely monitoring" threats made towards her online.
A spokeswoman for the social networking site said the group, entitled "Death to Mary Bale", contravened Facebook's terms of use.
Hundreds of people posted angry messages online after a clip showing four-year-old tabby Lola being thrown into a bin was uploaded by her owners.
Mary Bale, a bank worker from the Stoke area of Coventry, told The Sun that she binned the feline as "a joke", adding: "It's only a cat."
But animal lovers have expressed their rage online, with some calling for Ms Bale to be violently punished. One Facebook user said the 45-year-old should be "repeatedly head butted", whilst another wrote: "She should be flogged to within an inch of her life."

Yea, she was a bit out of order like, but come on, we're talking about a rancid greedy selfish shit machine here. ::)
My absolute adornation and undying lurve for these creatures is well documented though. whistle:
