I wanted a simple audio cable 1.5m with single 3.5mm jacks on each end. SWWLTBO was going into Rhyl so I asked her to pop into Currys and get me one. I told her it would be around £1 to £1.50 but knowing Currys I said "DON'T go above £2".
I must be blessed with foresight ~ She reported back by mobile that they were trying to sell her one at £24.99
I told her to run away from them!
I have just ordered what I want from Amazon for £0.59 including P&P!!!!!
OK so I have to wait for three to five days for "standard" delivery.
Who cares about the wait?
PS Checked Currys website ~ the cheapest as described above £4.99 + delivery "Item not available in store- Home Delivery Only". "Available in store" they are indeed they as she reported.
No bloody wonder they are going downhill faster that Eddy the Eagle.
