I believe it happens but have never witnessed it. Most liquids in the hold are bottles of red wine/whisky/other booze that get broken when idiot passengers don't pack them properly.

Looks to me like he was pushing the plane too fast, the push-back bar broke and he didn't react quickly enough to stop. Northern twat.

As an aside, you don't need a 30 tonne push-back tug to push a 79 tonne aircraft, a smaller 13.5 tonne one is more suited to the job.
