I just like to make sure things are right like, unlike soft ginger lad who just blunders his way around accepting everything at face value without any questions whatsoever.

I can't just go out and buy some old random sim card and lob it in, as the one I've got is an o2 contract card with my dedicated 15 year old number on it that I cannot afford to lose, that's all. ::)

But you won't lose it or have anything to lose.

If when you put your sim card in it doesn't work then you simply need to unlock the phone. Shouldn't cost you more than a tenner.

No need to get a phone unlocked ~ ask your current service provider for the PAC (Port Authorisation Code) THE LAW SAYS THEY HAVE TO PROVIDE THIS and give that number to whoever you buy the SIM Card from. Takes between 24 and 48 hours and the old number will be transferred to your new phone.

I did give you the link to do all this in my reply #19 in this thread together with the link to take you to the site where you will be able to arrange all the transfers/new sim card and payments at the CHEAPEST RATES in the UK.  Banghead
