[It's currently got a Virgin PAYG sim card which I'll take out and then you can buy what you want / need. Spose it'll work something like that. I've never actually done this before  confused:

Growler's got an 02 card so it may not work, if your phone was bought as a package from Virgin then it may be locked to them.

Virgin are pretty at unlocking their phones.
Currently have 2 phones with them and Mrs Tel uses one of theirs but is not on their network.

Good point Uncle but when I bought it it was on a T-Mobile contract. I had it unlocked and bought a PAYG Virgin card to keep it as a spare when I upgraded to a new Sony Ericsson.

Best deal for simcards is ASDA PAYG. 8p a minute calls and 4p for texts. They will go with that phone. Yours online within 48 hours max.
You can't buy them in an ASDA store. There is a postage charge of something like 49pence and the service is actually Vodaphone.

Ok. I've put it on charge overnight and I'll see how it performs in the morning. I can't remember tbh if it has "speaker phone" mode so we'll see.
You might be able to pick up a couple of Ruby Red front and back plates  eyes: from somewhere. Or you could of course slap some paint on it!

It's got the box it came in, the charger, spare silver fronts and backs, manual etc. The spot light has been useful for getting the key in the door on a dark night  eyes:

How old is it then Pastie? How long's it been lying in yer cupboard all unwanted then, cry: and how much do you want for it like?

Well, it seems to charge up ok. Think I was mistaken on the "torchy" thing  redface:. Must have been another phone that had that.

How's about you just cover the postage?

SO Growler, um, posts you the postage costs  rubschin: Perhaps in the form of a cheque wot you can pay into your new bank like  rubschin:

It came out in '04, I probably bought it '05 or '06 and used it for a couple of years, I guess. Value according to "Phones4Cash" is 2 quid  sad32:

I don't think you need to unlock it; I'll remove my sim card and I think all you need do is buy one and shove it in. Check with your local phone shop?

I could of course send the Z600 to MissD for The Brat to use with a PAYG sim card; merely a philanthropic gesture  angel1
