I use Nortons 2007 on my main PC at home, apart from taking a while to load it works OK. But when I loaded it on my other PC and it stuck when it tried to run liveupdate. Despite reinstalling a number of times and using a tool downloaded from Symantec designed to cure the problem no luck. It just wouldn't run liveupdates correctly and if I tried stopping it Nortons insisted that I had to wait for liveupdate to finish first.

In the end I removed Nortons completely  surrender:
