Windows 7 users have been hit by a glitch which produces a ?black screen of death?, as opposed to the traditional blue variety.The glitch causes a PC to crash as soon as a user logs on, producing a dead black screen instead of the desktop.The problem is allegedly due to a security update which Microsoft introduced last month. The company hasn?t admitted or denied this, but says it is currently looking into the issue.It?s not just Windows 7 users this is confined to, either, but other versions of Windows such as Vista and XP can be affected.If you haven?t run the latest batch of updates for your Microsoft operating system, then it?s probably a good idea to hold off until it?s clearer what?s going on here.
