That boat was indeed awesome; I was quite envious, apart from the bumpety bump, obviously.

Why haven't you got a telly then, or shouldn't I ask? ::)

Can of worms anyone? whistle:

That boat had a 1500 bhp diesel mowta, and a top speed of 85mph iirc? I want one, even though I don't like boats.

We have no TV.Wot boat?

The boat you would have seen on Top Gear last night if only you had a TV.

I have mentioned this before but if ever there was a case of cutting off your own nose to spite your face this has to be it.

Nick's TV in a box ~ he keeps on moaning that he doesn't have a TV so can't watch things that people talk about yet he is the twerp who put it in the fvcking box in the first place, to punish The Boy. The Boy pisses of to his mates houses to watch TV and Nick sits and looks at the empty space where his TV used to be  point:

Cutting off his nose to spite his face I call it.

Of course he will have us believe that everone in the house reads more books, talks to one another more than ever before and all is an Enid Blyton World at Nick Towers but every day, it seems, he is asking what we are talking about when it comes to TV programmes.

Everyone knows I don't watch much TV but I do watch progs I like and when there is nothing on that I want to watch I read a book or listen to the wireless. I guess it helps that I have more than 1 TV so arguments about who watches what are seldom a problem.

I thought the bus racing was excellent! They have a knack of pushing the 'I'd like to do that' button!  cloud9:

The boat looked awesome but incredibly uncomfortable as are all boats in my experience... give me a car or a hairy plane any day...

TBH I missed the programme ~ doing other things and it clean slipped my mind. I'll catch it on the rerun.
You are right ~ it is a case of "Boys Toys" envy really ~ they tell you very little about cars, or at least very little about cars we could afford.

Of course old Tiff, Quentin and co are still banging on about how TG has lost the plot and doesn't really talk cars, grease, engines etc anymore but then that is why they (TG) attract the huge audience that it does ~ well that and the fact we are all waiting to see JC having his bollox burned off on the tarmac one day.

Top Gear is, at the end of the day, a comedy show and pure entertainment with a little thrill when something goes wrong.

In some ways it belongs to the same genre as Time Team and all that bollox about "And we have only three days to discover the origins of the universe". We only watch to see what can go wrong actually happen. With Time Team nobody is more overjoyed than me when it pisses down throughout the dig and they find nothing.

So, to sum up Snoops, what you are saying is that we're all sadists at heart. The exception of course is Nick, who's a masochist. ;)
