Breakfast today
« on: October 07, 2008, 10:06:00 AM »
Since being made redundant, I have started having breakfast. For the 22 previous years, I simply threw a cup of tea down my throat and then headed off to work.

Last week was the usual assortment of cereals, toast, bacon, beans, sausages, fried eggs etc. and on Friday, I went a bit wild and poached some cod and had it with scrambled eggs. Today, I suddenly thought of the humble boiled eggs. I also had a packet of Porkinson's Bangers that needed cooked, so I did those two.

Two boiled eggs, four sausages (Mrs TMR(to be) had the other two) and three rounds of whelmeal toast later, I feel quite sated. I had forgotten how nice boiled eggs are  cloud9:

I'm gonna try eggs benedict tomorrow  scared2:

Smoked Salmon?

You'd have to flake it for TMR's Rizlas  ;)

Some sort of private joke I surmise. I am still wondering what a "special occasion" breakfast is  rubschin:

Birthdays, Christmas etc.

I guess that in the Nick household a special occasion would be any day where Nick doesn't blow something up or cause some other kind of calamity.
