Not that I recall ~ just a very serious French doctor who ate and drank his way from Paris to London on the Eurostar 1st class ~ and why not? PPP were paying.

Coming from that far behind it seems most unlikely  noooo:

Such a double punishment was over the top IMHO, the team and fans already knew they were dropping out of the championship but to then make them start the season on -10 points before a ball was kicked is virtually insurmountable. It wasn't the the team or the fans that caused the financial problems, it was that twat of a crooked MD. You only have to look at the smirking sod to want to strangle him

But look at the opposition ~ FFS they would have been happy to clean our boots three seasons ago.  Banghead

Well the Saints are mid table. Made up the deficit imposed by the FA, without which they would have been fighting for a play-off place, and are steaming through the table. I look forward to 2010 with new hope. Can't see us going up this season tho' as it is still too big a deficit to make up.

Southampton hammered Carlisle to win the Johnstone's Paint Trophy final at Wembley and collect their first domestic silverware since 1976.

Nice to see some good news for the club at last Snoopy.... and 12 points adrift off the play-offs, it's still do-able but they'll need a few slip ups by the others
