I think Wenchy needs one of those new Asus Eee machines...

I'd go blind looking at porn things on that.  cry:
I think my cat wants to kill me...

Being a Mac aficionado and with my sights set on a Mac Air I feel I can offer little to this thread  redface:

I'm sure our Bar Wench would prefer something with more weight and girth...

there are times when not using the "roll eyes" emoticon becomes something of extreme discipline!

I think the Asus looks cool... no hard drive, boots quickly, long battery life, etc. If I didn't have such a long list of other things I wanted (fisheye lens, etc.) I'd be after one myself...  whistle:

I'd like a mac but all my software is windows and I'm not shelling out again!

What drew me to the original dell was the fact that it has a built in webcam and came in pretty colours.  redface:

I would be happy without the pretty colours at a pinch. And it wasn't the FREE webcam it was the BUILT IN webcam! I use mine a lot as it is now the primary way of communication with Mother Wench and my BIL. If I were to have a laptop and wireless then a built in cam would be ideal as it would be one less thing to lug about.

I get a discount on Dell products through work and I still wouldt buy one of their laptops.

Alienware laptops on the other hand while expensive are well worth the money, even if the company is now owned by Dell.
