The Shakespeare Secret

Quote from: tailgunner
Comparisons to 'The DaVinci Code' are inevitable but there are crucial differences, for a kick off this has a a logical plot, it is well written and goes like a train. It's about the hunt for a lost Shakespeare play written by a Shakesapeare expert.

GM stylee review : Fast moving literary thriller, needs more sex.

Black Book

Excellent WW2 film about the resistance in Nazi occupied Holland from 1944. Broadly based on factual events it tells the story of a Jewish refugee who joins the resistance and has to infiltrate the German security services by seducing a senior officer.

I thought it to be excellent - well acted, great soundtrack (I listened to the DTS version) fantastic scenery, etc. Tits and bums-a-plenty too.  cloud9:

I just cancelled one of my orders and re-ordered by clicking on one of the links above. I did this because it was a 7.70 paperback whereas it only came up with the hardback (19) when ordered it from my wishlist. Thats Mrs TG a tenner better off.  happy088

Well done BM.

I have never seen, outside a jumble sale, so many unknown titles and authors.
I mostly despair

Hanging Out in the Virtual Pub: Masculinities and Relationships Online  eeek:

Synopsis
Lori Kendall explores the brave new world of social relations as they have evolved on the internet. In this detailed ethnography, she examines how men and women negotiate their gender roles on an online forum she calls BlueSky. The result is a comprehensive analysis of the emerging social phenomenon of internet-mediated communication and a study of the social and cultural effects of a medium that allows participants to assume identities of their own choosing. Despite the common assumption that the personas these men and women craft for themselves bear little resemblance to reality, Kendall discovers that the habitues of BlueSky stick surprisingly close to the facts of their actual lives and personalities.

I've just watched the remake of the Andromeda Strain done by the Scott brothers for Sky.

Its showing, well now if I'm right but I had the DVD in advance and yes its an official legitimate copy before anyone asks.

Overall it was an enjoyable film that managed to keep a lot of the feel of the original although the extra plot lines used to make it a 4 hour series could have done with a little more work on them.
